A ribbon cutting was held October 4 for the recently completed St. Francis Villa Senior Housing, designed by Cecil Baker & Partners and owned/operated by Catholic Health Care Services. The project provides 40 units of affordable apartments. St. Francis is located at 2450 Emerald Street in East Kensington, Philadelphia. The three-story 33,205-square-foot building sits on a previously vacant site. The building is highly energy efficient, meeting Energy Star Homes Version 3.0, and includes solar panels to provide hot water.
